This work extends the theory of nonseparable oversampled lapped transform (NSOLT) for complex images. NSOLT allows us to achieve an overcomplete analysis-synthesis system with nonseparable, overlapping, symmetric, and compact supported filters. Moreover, NSOLT is effective in diagonal edges and sparse representation from its non-separability. Since the conventional NSOLT deals with only real-valued filters, the degree of freedom in design is not exploited for complex signals. We, thus, introduce a theory of complex linear phase paraunitary filter banks into NSOLT. In this work, we propose a lattice-structure-based complex nonseparable oversampled lapped transform ($mathbb{C}$NSOLT) and implement it. The significance of this method is verified by examining analysis-synthesis process for complex images. |
