Cladding Pumped Seven-Core EDFA Using an Absorption-Enhanced Erbium Doped Fiber

(in English) We fabricate a 7-core erbium doped fiber that has absorption-enhanced cores. We demonstrate L-band cladding-pumped amplification with flat 13.1 dB gain, 5.8 dB NF, and 22.1 dBm output power. We obtain averaged core-to-core crosstalk of -53.0 dB.
