Parameter Optimization for Enhanced Adaptive Control CRE in Heterogeneous Networks

(in English) We propose an enhanced cell range expansion (CRE) technique in a heterogeneous network (HetNet) to increase the system capacity and improve the user throughput. The proposed adaptive control CRE technique is operated by both the user equipment (UE) connection ratio to pico cells in the macro cell and the received SINR for UEs. The features of the proposed CRE technique are described through comparisons with those of conventional CRE. We aim to clarify the optimal parameters in terms of proposed adaptive control CRE through system-level computer simulation results such as the average user throughput and 5-percentile user throughput. This approach provides a remarkably effective solution for CRE technique and/or cell selection method in a HetNet.
