A noise predictor based on image features for an IQA database

(in English) A set of images and mean opinion scores is needed to develop an objective image quality assessment (IQA). Recently, public IQA databases are available such as LIVE, CSIQ, TID2008, and TID2013. In the case of a few kind of noise, the performance of IQA is high. On the other hand, in the event of the many kinds of noise, the performance of IQA decrease. We develop a novel IQA framework based on noise predictor. The IQA framework consists of an IQA method and support vector machine (SVM). Here, the SVM is preprocessing of IQA to predict kind of noise. If the SVM can predict kind of noise high precision, the IQA framework is high performance. Therefore, this paper proposes a noise predictor based on image features for an IQA database.
