Development and application of new type viscometer

(in English) The Electro-Magnetically Spinning (EMS) method is a novel technique for measuring shear viscosity of liquid. Typical type of EMS viscometer with a spherical probe is a commercially available product, and the other type with a floating disk probe succeeded in improving the measurement accuracy especially in a low viscosity region around 1 mPa・s. Recently, the new-type EMS with a soaked-disk probe is developed for the measurement of flow curve. In this report, soaked-disk EMS is introduced and a flow curve for tooth paste is shown.
