Magneto-optic spatial light modulators (MOSLMs) can modulate a polarization and phase of light with high switching speed. Large magneto-optic effect and the low coercive force are required to magnetic garnet materials used in the MOSLMs. The magneto-optic effect and the coercive force depend on the composition of magnetic garnet. In this study, we fabricated magnetic garnet films ((BiNd)3(FeGa)5O12:NBIGG) using metal-organic decomposition (MOD) method for controlling the composition. In addition, for the application to the MOSLM, we fabricated the pixel structures of the NBIGG and evaluated magneto-optic effect. |
