Friend Suggestions Method Based on Node Degree Distribution in Social Recommender System

(in English) In some online services such as Amazon, a social recommender system is considered to improve the effective of the recommendation. In the social recommender system, each recommendation of items or businesses is performed based on the friendship of users in a social network. In this paper, we propose a friend suggestions method for the social recommender system in order to propagate the recommendation information of items effectively. The proposed method selects two users based on the node degree distribution in the social network and a rating of each user for each item. For the selected users, the social recommender system suggests that the users have friendship. If the number of friends for each user increases, the recommendation information can be propagated to all users more quickly. We evaluate the performance of the proposed method with simulation and show the effectiveness of the proposed method in some numerical examples.
