(in English) Recently, dielectric flat lenses have a focus of attention in the field of microwave and millimeter wave devices. The lenses are composed of finite number of dielectrics. In the design of lens, it is important to find the optimal permittivity distribution of dielectrics. The distribution has traditionally been designed by equations based on the ray optics. On the other hand, it seems that a method using both the electromagnetic field analysis and optimization method is effective to design the distribution. However, as far as we know, there is not a comparative study of optimization methods in the design of lens. In this study, the permittivity distribution of dielectric flat lens is designed by the gradient method with AVM. Furthermore, the optimal design result is compared with the results of GA and PSO.
