| (in English) | To capture distant sound clearly, we usually use shotgun microphone. It is possible to suppress sounds arriving from the side and selectively capture the sounds arriving from the front by the effect of a leaky acoustic tube. It is known that the directivity of the shotgun microphone becomes sharper with a longer leaky acoustic tube. We have developed a prototype microphone with an extra-long leaky acoustic tube. The microphone uses a leaky acoustic tube 1 meter long, which is longer than conventional one. As a result of measurements, it was found that the directivity pattern is good agreement with the proposed numerical simulation using acoustical distribution constant circuit. The width of main lobe was narrower than the conventional product which uses leaky acoustic tube about 40 cm long, the half-angle is about 50% narrower at 1 kHz. | |
