A method to construct redundant distributed KVS designed for geographically dispersed data management

(in English) Numerous sensors, actuators, and embedded computers are connecting to information networks as well as cloud systems such as IaaS. These devices are utilized to realize more efficient consumer services, business and regional community operations. Such concept is called cyber-physical system. Cyber-physical system is composed by sensors that generate data, gateways that connect sensors to wide-area network, and computing resource to analyze and/or process data. In these system, wire-area network may be a bottleneck. In the present paper, we first consider a system that save data to gateways to avoid the network bottleneck. In the system, to search and retrieve data, the locations of data are managed by self-organized distributed key-value store. In addition, assuming that the gateways that hold the locations of data may join and leave frequently, we propose a method to construct redundant distributed key-value store. By simulation evaluation, we exhibit that traffic volume to make redundant fall into realistic amount for mobile networks.
