A Study of Multi-Domain Radio Resource Management based on Service Types and User Preferences

(in English) The phantom cell concept is considered towards the realization of 5G radio access network. In the phantom cell concept, macro cells which provide coverage and mobility are utilized as coverage cells. Moreover, capacity cells which realize high-capacity and high-speed transmission are superposed to the coverage cells. We had proposed a cell selection scheme based on the quantity of radio resource of each cell in the previous study. Though the quantity of radio resource is considered, other characteristics of cell layers and services that are utilized by users are not considered in the scheme. Therefore, we develop the scheme to realize more suitable cell selection according to utilized service of users by considering both cell layer characteristics and user equipment preferences. Moreover, the average flow time characteristics are evaluated by system level simulations and verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in this paper.
