The Behavior Estimation Scheme using the Illuminance Sensor attached to Clothes

(in English) Recently, various studies have been conducted
on human behavior or place estimation from sensors in a smartphone.
There are many studies estimating human behavior using GPS.
However, GPS has problems in terms of power consumption and indoor localization.
In this paper,
we propose a method for human behavior and place estimation
using illuminance lifelog from illuminance sensor attached on clothing.
As a smartphone component, illuminance sensor is expected to be useful
because of its low power consumption.
We verify the effectiveness and limitations of
human behavior and place estimation using illuminance lifelog.
We conducted classification experiments of Indoor/Outdoor, Home/Lab/Other and 3 rooms.
As a , we confirmed that it was possible to recognize the
Indoor/Outdoor on average 82.5 %,
Home/Lab/Other on average 75.7 % and
3 rooms on average 93.0 % of recognition rate.
