Relation between Image Blur of Foreground Object and Detection Accucary on Blur-Based Object Detection
Shingo Kobayashi, Ryusuke Miyamoto (Meiji Univ.) SIS2016-10
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The authors proposed the method about object detection scheme use image blur.
The study so far, we only used the object present in-focus distance for detection.Such a restriction does not become a problem in applications, such as intruder detection and collision avoidance. But such a decrease in versatility is not desirable as it limits some application.Proposed scheme detect targets by using the domain have a blur difference as object boundary. So our scheme may be able to detect targets lie outside the depth of field, if there is a certain blur difference. Therefore, we make a dataset composed synthetic images have blured foreground, and research the relation between image blur of foreground object and detection accuracy.
