In this paper, we propose a phase estimation method for selected mapping of Direct Spectrum Division Transmission that could improve the BER characteristics. Specifically, phase shifts are added for the groups of sub-spectrums determined before the start of communication to reduce the peak to average power ratio (PAPR) at the transmitter side. Furthermore, at the receiver side, the phases for each group are averaged. Our numerical simulation results reveal that it is impossible to demodulate signals due to the BER degradation when we use a conventional method, while the PAPR is 2.6 dB reduced without the BER degradation using our proposed method. |
