| (in English) | A new inter-frame motion compensated prediction coding with Poisson Image Editing, named Poisson prediction, has been proposed to obtain higher compression ratio than H.265/HEVC. Conventional Poisson prediction uses sum of absolute difference (SAD) of pixels' value in the block to be coded as the matching criteria to detect a reference block. In this paper, two matching methods, a mean free matching method and an edge gradient matching method, are newly introduced to search a reference block. Simulation results show that the proposed methods can obtain more than 10% prediction error reduction in comparison with the legacy SAD matching methods. | |
