Illumination correlated color temperature and its frequency dependence of Digital controlled CSK signal with RGB-LED array

(in English) Digital color shift keying (DCSK) is a visible light communication (VLC) intensity modulation method, which can fulfill the both roles of lighting and communication by using three colors RGB-light emitting diodes (LED). DCSK transmits data through the intensity rate of RGB-LEDs, which can be represented by digital “on-off” LED control by multiple RGB-LEDs. Moreover, the perceived color on human eye (i.e., Target Color) of modulated optical signal can be shifted by the M constellation points for data transmission. However, the target color control method for DSCK has not been experimentally evaluated so far. In this study, we experimentally evaluate the color temperature and its frequency dependence of controlled target color. As a result, the target color can be controlled into 3000K and 4200K within ± 5.5 mired. However, the color temperature of the target color becomes smaller when the transmitting frequency is higher than 2MHz, because the blue LED’s brightness decreases.
