This paper proposes a multimodal authentication system for smartphones
by using two sequences of different measurement time ranges from wearable and smartphone devices.
To discriminate its owners,
we use two features of the long-term heart rate sequence from the wearable device and
the short-term acceleration sequence from the action of shaking the smartphone.
Experimental results show that our multimodal method outperformed a method using a single device
and improved Equal-Error-Rate up to 10%. |
