［ポスター講演］Knife-edge and Slit Diffraction Measurements in the Terahertz Band

Measurement results on diffraction in the THz band from 0.1 THz to approximately 4 THz are reported. The measurements focused on the non-line-of-sight (NLOS) characteristics of the THz channels through the knife-edge diffraction and slit diffraction. Particularly, the knife-edge effect is an important phenomenon to take into account in the design of the future THz indoor point-to-point links. The measurements relied on the THz-time domain spectroscopy. The results showed that the diffracted paths are clearly visible in the spectrum, and, furthermore, are theoretically strong enough to enable the NLOS communications to the shadows of the objects in the transmission path. |
