[Poster Presentation] Extended Dynamic Agent Management in a Location Based Routing

(in English) A routing protocol in mobile ad hoc networks is important, and a location based routing has attracted attention. We have proposed a method, which using plural mobile agents (MA) to manage location information and construction a route, and the number of MA dynamically changes depending on the network situation. However, because the area where MA manages is uniquely determined, there is a possibility that the number of nodes in each area is not uniform. This would increase the network load due to unnecessary division and integration of MAs. To solve this problem, we propose a novel method that the MA management area is properly determined based on the distribution of the nodes. From the performance evaluation, we show that the proposed method outperforms conventional methods in terms of packet delivery rate when network load is high.
