| (in English) | A flash crowd is a sudden surge in accesses to a web service. Conventional ways to manage flash crowds, such as dropping excessive requests, redundant servers and dynamic provisioning of server resources, are difficult to satisfy all demands such as prevention of the system down, avoidance of user abandonments and efficient use of resources. In this paper, we focus the psychological factor of users and propose a method using feedback informations. Our experiments showed that user behaviors such as abandonments and request retransmissions can be affected by feedback informations. Based on them, we made a user model and conducted stress tests. The test results showed that feedback informations can improve the server load and the user abandonment ratio. They also gave suggestions about web services on which feedback informations works well. | |
