DESIGN OF DUAL-BAND REFLECTARRAY FOR SAME POLARIZATION USING GENETIC ALGORITHM

(in English) This paper proposes novel design method of dual-band reflectarray using genetic algorithm (GA). Ordinary, each elements of reflectarray are designed to have desired reflection phase. However, when we adopt same polarization in dual frequencies, the element configuration designed to satisfy desired reflection phase in one frequency influences the characteristics in other frequency. Therefore, it is difficult to achieve dual-band reflectarray. To address the issues, we adopt two layer patches for element to increase flexibility of design and optimize the patches configuration using GA. We design three kind of element structure using proposed method shown as Figure 1. Fig. 1 (a) shows the element structure that has 0 deg. reflection phases at both 1.0 GHz and 1.5 GHz. Fig. 1 (b) shows the element that has 120 deg. reflection phases at 1.0 GHz and 0 deg. reflection phase at 1.5 GHz. And fig. 1 (c) show the element that has 240 deg. reflection phases at 1.0 GHz and 0 deg. reflection phase at 1.5 GHz. Finally, we achieved desired reflection phases in dual-band independently using quasi optimum design method by GA.
