Evaluations of the method of latency reduction based on changing the route of uplink burst transmission for the Photonic Sub-Lambda transport network

(in English) Future metro networks need to become more energy-saving and efficient to control the traffic from access networks, which will become larger bandwidths and more energy saving per bit according to progressing the technology of 10-Gigabit-capable passive optical networks (XG-PON) and 40-Gigabit-capable passive optical networks (NG-PON2). To achieve the realization of the future metro network, we are studying the Photonic Sub-Lambda transport network (PSL network) that can efficiently multiplex the traffic for the low demand region with low cost and low power consumption. PSL network is an optical aggregation network with deploying an optical passive device on the transmission line to multiplex the traffic by using the technology of time division multiplexing. In this paper, we propose and evaluate the method of the latency reduction based on changing the route of uplink burst transmission for the PSL network.
