Design, implementation, and evaluation of an offline evacuation guiding application considering positioning errors of mobile nodes

(in English) It is highly desired to achieve speedy evacuation guiding even when part/all of communication infrastructure suffers from large-scale disasters. For this purpose, an automatic evacuation guiding scheme based on cooperation between evacuees and their mobile nodes has been proposed. In this paper, we first design a mobile application that can conduct the existing scheme, by summarizing required functions, i.e., positioning, estimation of evacuees' situations, graph data handling, presentation of useful information, and communication control. We also propose a scheme that can conjecture the evacuees' situations by applying map matching techniques. We further implement an offline application, which has all the above functions except the communication control, on actual mobile nodes. Through the experiment, we show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in terms of estimation accuracy of an actual evacuation route, and that of blocked road segments.
