| (in English) | Railway systems have consistently evolved in Japan, while the number of railway accidents and their victims have never decreased. Therefore, hazard detection systems using train-mounted cameras (or fixed monitoring cameras) have been developed as the systems preventing accidents with lower cost. On the other hand, edge-computing has been proposed, which has regional edge-servers locating between local nodes and cloud servers for acceleration of big-data analysis and highly efficient data-transmission with hierarchical data analysis capability. In this paper, we propose a hazard detection system using train-mounted camera and applied the idea of edge-computing. This system can enable the crews to notice danger and hazards and to quickly share hazardous information with nearby trains. | |
