In a microwave power transmission system, high transmission efficiency can be obtained at a long dis-tance if the reciving antenna absorbs almost all of the microwave energy radiated from the transmitting antenna. A small prototype model with about 50 cm square of the power transmitting and receiving antennas has been developed for the high efficiency of the system. As a result, a total transmission efficiency of 24.4% (with a beam collection efficiency of about 70%) has been obtained at a transmission distance of 56.6 cm. Four types of efficiency has been focused and discussed as a component of the total transmission efficiency for the high-efficient system. |
