Dynamic power simulator utilizing computational fluid dynamics and power consumption model for data center

(in English) The power consumption of data centers has increased, and studies on energy-efficient data centers have attracted considerable attention.Reducing the power consumption of individual units is insufficient for reducing the total power consumption of the data center because various types of equipment operate in an interrelated way.Cooperative control is effective for reducing more energy and needs to estimate total power consumption of a data center using operating pattern.In this report, we developed a power simulator for a data center by combining computational fluid dynamics and each equipment power consumption model. We evaluate the power simulator by estimating power consumption of data center that is actually in operation.In addition, we show the optimum blowing temperature of air conditioner is proposed to reduce the power consumption of data center by using the power simulator.
