Performance evaluation of multi-hop communication with a probabilistic channel switching scheme in ROD-SAN

(in English) Wireless sensor and actuator networks (WSANs) should provide high response performance, and reducing power consumption, because quick demand response (DR) is requested in such networks.
Therefore, we have developing the Radio-On-Demand Sensor and Actuator Network (ROD-SAN), which enables on-demand access in WSANs.
WSANs, if multiple sensors are located in the neighborhood, communication performance decreases by packet collisions on the same channel.
Thus, in order to reduce packet collisions, we have proposed a probabilistic channel switching in previous works, and the schemes have improved drastically communication performance in single-hop topology.
However, when our proposed scheme is used in multi-hop network, transmission delays drastically increase due to frequent channel switching.
In this paper, we extend the probabilistic channel switching scheme in order to avoid frequent channel switching, and evaluate communication performance in multi-hop networks.
As the simulation results, we showed that our proposed scheme can improve delivery ratio while decreasing the transmission delay.
