Evaluation of Core Network Control System for Delay-guaranteed Networks by making use of Hybrid Optoelectronic Routers

(in English) Aiming at the realization of high-speed and high-capacity packet router, the development of an opt-electronic packet router has been promoted. We are investigating methodologies related to network control methods to build end-to-end delay guaranteed network services by deploying these routers in core networks by handling them in a simple control manner.
We constructed the simulation model of the behavior of the opt-electronic router. As a result of the simulation, we found out the relations among the traffic volume flowing into the routers, the forwarding delay and the packet loss rate.
In addition, we improved the route search algorithm which executes routing control according to the pre-determined threshold of packer loss rate by utilizing the above mentioned relation. In this paper, we described the evaluation results of the network simulations, using JGN-X topology as Japan core network, from the viewpoints of delay and packet loss guarantee.
