Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a key end point sub-system of IoT. Applications of WSN are wide variety, and an environment monitoring system in forests is one of them. In recent year, it has been desired more because early detection of forest fires and landslides may possible. Several propagation loss models for forest environment have been proposed. However, we consider that it is not suitable for near earth propagation like WSN because they are based on the cellular system. This paper discusses the problem caused by usage environment differences if existing model formulas are used for WSN, and then proposes model formula that was modified based on the RSSI measurement results that was assumed WSN. |
