[Poster Presentation] Embedding method into DCT coefficients by using Wet Paper Code

(in English) We propose an embedding method into DCT coefficients by using wet paper code. By using the Wet Paper Code, watermark can be decoded without knowing their embedded positions. Therefore, it is hard for attackers to identify the positions. To use the Wet Paper Code, the simultaneous equation such that number of unknown variables is more than that of equations must be solved. Fridrich introduced a selection rule to reduce the number of unknown variables because of solving the equation. In order to solve the equation, we introduce sparse estimation by which the watermark can be embedded without the selection rule to Wet Paper Code. Unfortunately spike noise appears when sparse solution is used for embedding. We introduce a technique that a component of the watermark is embedded into difference between two DCT coefficients for reducing the noise. Since the watermark is embedded into the DCT coefficients against JPEG compression and marker or synchronization code is also embedded against cropping, the proposed method has robustness for JPEG compression and cropping. As a result, our method can reduce the spike noise and decode message with a few errors from stego-images degraded by these attacks.
