We propose a pedestrian analytical method for detecting group transformations by observing changes of comfortableness of intra-group communication.Pedestrian groups transform into relevant formations for situations in response to group states and environment, therefore we consider detecting group transformation help us to understand relation between space and pedestrian by specifying places in which frequent transformations occur. In this paper, we define comfortableness of intra-group communication as comfortableness of mutual gaze in groups, and make a model of comfortableness of communication for three people group with relative positions of group members. To validate our model, we make an algorithm that detects transformations by observing variation of comfortableness of intra-group communication and can detect group transformations in a public space. |
