LED mini- Lidar for MAV

(in English) There is large needs for measurement of Mars, and its dust devil (whirlwind) is one of them. To measure the dust devil of Mars, we designed mini LED Lidar which can capture fast flow of dust devil with high speed in short range measurement. We made the LED mini Lidar of the size of 10cm cube and the weight of <1kg. We carried out demonstration experiment supposed its MAV (Micro Air Vehicle) mounting. It is intended to capture the movement and structure of the whirlwind in the range of 20-30m from Lidar on the ground. We measured the air and smoke flow of 0.3m/s with integration time of 0.2-200 seconds. The smoke movement and structure could be visualized through the experiment.
