Recently, performances of drones (unmanned aerial vehicles, UAVs) rapidly progress, and their applications spread into many fields such as filmmaking, inspection, delivering, and so on. On the other hand, security threats such as hacking drone communications are becoming realistic. Securing drone control communications has been an urgent issue. In this paper, we describe a security enhanced drone control communications by encrypting control commands using one-time pad whose cryptographic keys are generated from a physical random number generator. Furthermore, we succeeded in demonstration of a wide-area secure drone control by handover of the control communications with multiple keys supplied by quantum key distribution (QKD). |
