Experimental investigation of defect detection in solid material by aerial ultrasonic beam

(in English) We examine the non-contact and non-destructive inspection technology of the defect in the solid using high-intensity aerial ultrasonic waves and optical equipment. This method detects defects in object by analysis of vibration on the surface of object to be excited by aerial ultrasonic wave(approximately 20kHz~80kHz). In previous study, it is clarified to realize this method by high-intensity convergence sound wave. However, this method has problem that measurement time is a long time. One of solution approach, we proposed a method scanning measurement using ultrasonic beam which is radiated widespread. In this report, we attempt to defect detection in a mortar surface using proposed method.
