A power efficiency improvement method for the boost mode of bidirectional dual active bridge DC-DC converter

(in English) A Dual Active Bridge(DAB)DC-DC converter has problem such as a hard switching operation and a switching surge in a specific conditions. In order to solve these problems, a method which controls the switching pattern of rectifier switches by a digital control has been proposed, and has reduced the switching loss and the switching surge effectively. Previously, we reported the detail of proposed method operation for buck mode. However, the proposed method operation for boost mode has not been analyzed. Therefore, this paper discusses the proposed method operation for boost mode, and reports the mechanism of the switch-surges reduction technique and the power efficiency improvement.
