| (in English) | The authors propose a concept referred to as VLTC (virtual light touch contact) which is designed to mitigate postural sway in the user. The study reported here involved the use of a prototype incorporating tactile stimulation and acceleration sensor technology. Experiments performed with healthy young subjects to verify the system’s applicability indicated a lower acceleration root mean square with VLTC than in non-assisted ambulation. |
