Performance Evaluation of Bluetooth LE Device Discovery on Simultaneous Multiple Access

(in English) Bluetooth BR/EDR (Basic Rate/Enhanced Data Rate) has a technical issue on energy consumption when slaves join the network with a master.On the other hand, Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) has developed a new device discovery protocol to reduce the energy consumption in device discovery.However, it is not sufficient to analyze the device discovery time and the consumed energy for the device discovery protocol.In this manuscript, we evaluate the performances in Bluetooth LE device discovery when one or more slaves join the network with a master simultaneously using the probabilistic model checking tool, PRISM.
