[Invited Lecture] Statistical Model Utilizing Ray-Tracing for Indoor Radio Propagation Prediction

(in English) In order to improve accuracy of the statistical models in indoor propagation characteristics, we propose an estimation method of propagation loss. In this method, we classify receiving points into multiple groups utilizing the number of reflections and diffractions calculated by ray-tracing, and then apply independent statistical model to the each group. First, we make proposed statistical models from measurements of propagation loss in an office. We examine number of classification and order for receiving points, and show that extraction and classification using order of the 1 time reflection, 2 times reflections, 1 time diffraction is appropriate. Second, we verify the proposed method in 3 offices different from the office of creating the statistical models by comparing proposed method with conventional models (one slope, dual slope, multi-wall, partitioned). The mean estimation error of NLOS (3.7 dB) has more accuracy than the conventional methods. Therefore the proposed method is effective to indoor propagation loss estimation.
