Brain Functional Connectivity Network (BFCN)とは,認知機能などに関連した脳領域間のつながりを可視化したものである.BFCNを利用したworking memoryに関連する従来研究は,短期記憶にとどまり,タスクは実験室レベルである.本研究では,男性健常者(16から21歳、右利き)に対して,英単語がディスプレイに表示された時のEEGを19chで計測した.いくつかの周波数帯について,英単語の意味が分かる/わからない場合で各電極間のSynchronization Likelihood (SL)を計算し,BFCNを別々に構築した.更に,途中,タスクとして学習過程を挿入し,学習の前後でのBFCNの違いを調べた.これらにより,長期記憶だけでなく短期記憶を含むBFCNを用いて可視化を試みた. |

Brain Functional Connectivity Network (BFCN) is a visualization of connectivities between brain regions related to human cognitive function. The previous fMRI studies concerned with working memory had been limited to short-term memory and at a laboratory level. Our study focuses on college and senior high school students between the ages of 16 and 21, an important period for learning foreign languages, especially, English. In this study, 19-ch EEGs were measured and compared when the students could remember Japanese meanings of English words and could not. Then, Synchronization Likelihood (SL) as the connectivity between electrodes was calculated for a few frequency bands, and separate BFCNs were constructed for the two conditions. Moreover, in addition to the pre-training, the BFCNs were obtained from the EEGs recorded under post-training condition. Thus, we tried to visualize the BFCNs including not only long term memory but also short-term one. |
