An Evaluation of High Quality Synchronization Method Based on Delayed and Symmetric Correlation in MIMO-OFDM

(in English) In this paper, we propose a highly accurate ODFM symbol timing synchronization method using cross–correlation in addition to delayed and central correlations for MIMO-OFDM systems. In OFDM systems, an FFT window position shift is a factor of inter-symbol interference since the shift shortens the effective guard interval foralleviating the effect of delay waves. Motivated by this, we propose a novel timing synchronization method which can be utilize even under multipath fading environments. For the evaluation of the proposed method, we compare a distribution of detected timing synchronization points and BER characteristics using the proposed method and an existing method. From the results, we confirmed that the effect of delay waves can be successfully suppressed and that BER improvement can be archived by the proposed method.
