A study of GPU acceleration of "source" part in Hall-thruster simulation

(in English) Electric propulsion is expected to drastically drive down the transportation cost in space. It can realize 10 times higher specific impulse compared with the current chemical propulsion and the cost the weight of propellant. Hall thruster is a sort of electric propulsion and has been studied in many research institute. In the design process of Hall thruster, numerical simulation is often used because of cost limitation, but it takes a lot of computation time. We are researching an acceleration of our own simulation code. One limitation of this research is that reuse existing code and off-load computational intensive part to GPU. In this report, we explain a study of GPU acceleration of ``source'' part in our Hall thruster simulation.
