An image coding method based on a foreground and a background

(in English) Digital images are continuosly requiring increased storage space due to increased resolution in the recent years. Because of a more efficent encoding method is desired. In this study, we extracted the main object in the image, then encoded the image separetely from the background. Next, we combined the object with the background. This method allows for the main object in the image to be store in its initial quality, creating an increased preceptual quality. The experimental results show that the proposed method can keep quality of the foreground.
