Relocation method of virtual edge VNFs to shorten service disconnection time

(in English) In future network, the movement of network functions virtualization (NFV) has been activated for the purpose of cost reduction and flexible addition of network functions. We have been proposed a virtual edge architecture to apply the concept of NFV to the edge router in carrier NW. In this architecture, the relocation of the multiple virtualized network functions (VNFs) is realized by the live migration of virtual machine for the effective use of the server resources. According to the experimental results, the service disconnection time and the total relocation time vary greatly depending on the way of relocation. In this paper, we describe a method to select the relocation method, which meets the requirement of the service disconnection time and the total relocation time, by formulating these time parameters.
