Tracking left ventricle in cardiac 4D CT images -- comparison between DP matching and Demons algorithm --

(in English) In this paper, we report the results of shape tracking of the left ventricle to the 4D CT images using the DP matching and the Demons algorithm. For the purpose of diagnostic aided of ischemic heart disease, traditionally it had been tracked by using the DP matching. This is because it has been evaluated the deformation results between time phases in the path length of the edge points of the left ventricle, it was not sufficient for the complex movements with the hearts muscle. Therefore, to target the 4D CT images of four cases in this study by using the Demons algorithm, to try to improve the conventional problems. This algorithm is to deform an image using a displacement vector that is defined by the location and time. We compared and studied with conventional techniques using this approach.
