Improvement of SNR for pulse compressed parametric ultrasound

(in English) Imaging used high frequency ultrasound is difficult at far distance because ultrasound is absorbed by medium with propagating. To resolve this problem pulse compression is applied to parametric ultrasound which is directional sound source since ultrasound imaging used low frequency which is low absorption is realized. The purpose of this study is to improve SNR of parametric ultrasound imaging used pulse compression. As the previous our study, a uniform amplitude chirp signal, which is desired parametric sound, was used as a reference signal for the pulse compression of the parametric sound. However, amplitude of actual received signal changes with time, that is, the amplitude depends on the instance frequency of chirp parametric sound. Therefore, to improve SNR, pulse compression used reference signal depended on amplitude of generated parametric ultrasound is applied. The results reveal SNR hardly improve but possibility of improving SNR at near distance from sound source.
