The detection system of obstacles is essential to the wireless power transfer system dealing with high power as charging electric vehicles. The authors have focused on the short range MIMO sensor. It is because the short range MIMO sensor can detect small environmental changes and also environment changes of no line of sight from the sensor. In this paper, we propose a detection method of using the selection diversity technique in the short range MIMO sensor. The selection diversity technique is employed for aiming to improve the detection performance by excluding antennas which do not contribute to detection. Through computer simulation using the electromagnetic field simulator, we show the superiority of the proposed method over the conventional method, and also we compare both methods in the multi-path environment. |
