Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, for the wide band and license-free channels, wireless communications with 60 GHz millimeter wave (mm-Wave) have been extensively studied. In standards, like IEEE 208.11ad, there are 4 channels with total 9 GHz bandwidth in 60~GHz band, and each channel can provide maximally over than 6 Gbps data rate. For compensating the high propagation loss of mm-Wave, analogue beamforming (BF) in RF band is also proposed. Here, we are aiming at the further improvement of mm-Wave channels with multiuser multiple input and multiple output (MU-MIMO) spatial multiplexing. For the method studies, channel models including the distribution of angles of departure and arrival are necessary. In this report, we show the results of channel propagation analysis based on the ray tracing approach for a small conference room; and evaluate user scheduling algorithms with considering of the analogue BF by the obtained channel model. In the evaluation, a 3-sector access point (AP) is adopted; and the performance is improved remarkably with the coordination of sectors and a simple user scheduling strategy.
