[Invited Lecture] Outdoor-to-Indoor Path Loss Characteristics for 8GHzto 37GHzBand

(in English) The path loss characteristics for high frequency above the 6GHz are analyzed on the basis of measurement results obtained using the 8 to 37 GHz band in outdoor-to-indoor environments. It is clarified that the path loss characteristics depend on incident angle of three dimensions and frequency. Besides, the incident angle characteristics of azimuth is different from the incident angle characteristics of elevation because the dominant propagation path is varied depending on incident angle of azimuth when the radio wave penetrates the building. By taking these dependencies into account, the proposed model can decrease the root mean square error of prediction results to about 10dB compared to the conventional model in high frequency band above the 6GHz.
