A Prototype of Antenna Coil Self-resonant to AM Radio Frequency Band

(in English) Performance of antenna plays an important role of higher energy collection efficiency in the energy harvesting of electromagnetic waves. We are studying the energy harvesting by using AM radio frequency band, and an antenna coil is used in the part of the external antenna of rectifying antenna (rectenna) .We assume that the excitation voltage of the antenna coil is mainly caused by the electromagnetic induction. However, we reported that the excitation voltage does not always depend on the increment of the cross-sectional area and the number of turns. According to the measurement of an electromagnetic characteristics of the antenna coil by using a LCR meter, self-resonance occur at a specific frequency. Therefore, we are able to make the rectenna of high energy conversion efficiency by using the antenna coil with self-resonant frequency that is the same as the frequency of a specific broadcasting station. In this paper, we make a prototype of antenna coil which can excite self-resonance in the RKB radio broadcasting frequency, and we measure the output characteristic of the rectenna whose an external antenna is the prototype of antenna coil.
