FDTD Analysis of Reflection and Radiation Characteristics in Microstrip Lines of Finite Length

(in English) It is difficult to derive analytical solutions for the electromagnetic field characteristics of microstrip lines. Various approximate theoretical and numerical studies are reported in the literature. We have so far studied the electromagnetic fields of guided waves at tilted line junctions and corners using FDTD numerical analysis applied to Laplace equation and Maxwell’s equations. In this research, we investigated the radiation and reflection chatacteristics of electromagnetic fields of guided waves at the terminal terminal portion of mictistip lines of finite lenght that could be related to antenna elements. We have revealed the transformation characteristics of from guided waves to radiation waves through numerical studies.
